Itinerary

Day 1Bangkok – Kanchanaburi – JEATH War Museum – Bridge over the River Kwai – War Cemetery – Erawan Waterfall – Sai Yok – Bamboo Rafting (-/L/D)

 

Kanchanaburi 2 Days 1 Night

07.00 a.m. Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Bangkok, and then drive you to Kanchanaburi by A/C minivan.

09.30 a.m. Arrive in Kanchanaburi, the riverside province and is known for its rich history and stunning natural beauty. Our first stop is to visit the JEATH WAR Museumwhich showcases the history of the Bridge over the River Kwai and the POWs who worked on it. Then, we will head over to visit the Bridge over the River Kwai. This landmark is one of the most famous symbols of the city and was built during World War II by Allied prisoners of war. After the Bridge over the River Kwai, visit the War Cemetery, which is the final resting place for over 6,000 POWs who died during the construction of the railway. The bridge was an essential part of the Thai-Burma railway that was built to support the Japanese army in Burma. 

12.00 p.m. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant (1).  

Afternoon  Drive you all the way from Kanchanaburi downtown to the Erawan National Park, which is located an hour’s drive from Kanchanaburi. The park is home to a stunning seven-tiered waterfall, which is one of the most beautiful in Thailand. After the waterfall, drive you to Sai Yok district (1-1.30 hours’ drive) and check in at The River Kwai Paradise Resort, and then enjoy bamboo rafting on the River Kwai.

Evening Have dinner at hotel (2) after dinner, enjoy your free time. 

Day 2Hellfire PassTham Krasae –Wat Tham Suea – Bangkok (B/L/-)

 

Tham Krasae Cave

07.00 a.m. Breakfast will be served at hotel (3) 

08.00 a.m. Afterbreakfast, check-out and depart for the Hellfire Pass to visit the museum and you can also walk down the Hellfire Pass, which is a railway cutting on the former Burma Railway, also commonly called ‘the Dearth Railway. Next, discover the wonder inside Tham Krasae Cave and walk along the wooden bridge of the Railway track built along the cliff closer to the Tham Krasae train station. 

12.00 p.m. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant (4).  

Afternoon Visit Wat Tham Suea or the ‘tiger cave temple’ is one of the most famous temples in Kanchanaburi, and then return to Bangkok. 

18.00 p.m. Arrive in Bangkok and transfer you to your hotel in Bangkok.
